Dr. Schwartz is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, licensed in Texas, and trained at Yale, UCLA, Harbor-UCLA and UT Southwestern. Patients come to him from across the country, many of them to correct breast implant problems.
He has been in practice as a plastic surgeon in Dallas since 1997 and has performed over 10,000 procedures. The practice was previously known as Robert Schwartz Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Schwartz graduated summa cum laude from Yale University with a degree in physics. Physics does not apply directly to surgery, but it trains you to analyze and solve complex problems, a skill he has used throughout his surgical career, particularly in revision surgery. On the strength of his undergraduate record he was awarded a University of California Regents Scholarship to attend the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
He then completed his residency in general surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles and was certified by the American Board of Surgery. At Harbor-UCLA he also spent a year in full-time research in plastic surgery, then completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, widely regarded as one of the specialty's premier training programs. It is where he chose to remain, build his practice, and ultimately found Edition Plastic Surgery.
